Designed for both adults and children, The Journey to End Cancer: From Cause to Cure is a highly engaging 5,000-square-foot science exhibition that makes the latest cancer breakthroughs understandable and inspiring through original multimedia, interactives and first-person stories.

The Exhibition is presented by The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, one of the world’s most respected centers focused on cancer patient care, research, education and prevention. It was produced in collaboration with the National Cancer Institute, part of the National Institutes of Health. Learn more in the tour announcement.

Exhibition Highlights

Become cancer detectives, using cutting-edge tools to detect cancer in different parts of the body.

Play an engaging interactive game that reveals how seemingly simple choices can have an effect on cancer risk.

Visit a soothing sound and light experience that spotlights the role of therapies like meditation and yoga.

Supercharge the superheroes of the immune system in a 3D interactive to stop rogue cancer cells.

Enter an immersive media experience presenting the cell universe within each of us.

Explore ideas for future detection, from liquid biopsies to cancer-sniffing dogs.

Visitors will explore five galleries where they can increase their own understanding of cancer, as they learn to: KNOW IT, FIND IT, TREAT IT, PREVENT IT and DEFEAT IT.

Along the way, creative animations, hands-on activities, playful games, bold infographics, and a group challenge transform cancer science into memorable “aha” moments. The exhibition threads the needle carefully, dispelling myths and increasing understanding, while acknowledging the emotional impacts cancer has on people’s lives.

Sprinkled throughout the exhibition are “story pods,” featuring inspiring personal video testimonials from cancer survivors, family members, doctors, scientists, researchers and others. Their stories remind visitors that real people are at the heart of this journey, and that we are all in this together.
